Before each sprint, you’re facing a repetitive task: assign 50 tests to team members, update test statuses, tag tests by feature. Doing this one-by-one is tedious and eats into your day.
PractiTest’s Batch Edit feature lets you update multiple tests, issues, or test sets instantly—applying the same changes across dozens of items in seconds.
How It Works
Select the items you want to edit (checkboxes in the grid) → Click “Batch Edit” at the top → Choose which fields to update → Enter the new value → Done.
You can add comments and control email notifications for each batch change.
Common Use Cases
-
Assign Tests to Team Members: Select all tests for the upcoming sprint → Batch Edit → Assignee field → Pick the tester’s name. All tests assigned in seconds instead of minutes of clicking.
-
Mark Tests as Ready for Execution: After your QA review, select approved tests → Batch Edit → Status field → Change to “Ready”. Your team instantly knows which tests are cleared to run.
-
Tag Tests by Feature: Just created tests for a new feature across multiple test cases? Select them all → Batch Edit → Feature field → Tag with “Login Module v2.0”. Easy to filter and track by feature throughout the project.
Bonus: Batch Clone Test Sets
Need multiple Test Sets for different sprints or environments? Select the Test Sets → Click the three-dot menu → Choose “Clone” → Modify fields in bulk (sprint, tester, environment). All variants created at once.
The Payoff
Batch operations turn sprint setup from a time-consuming chore into a quick, focused task. Less admin work, more testing.
