Tip of the Week! Keep PractiTest in Sync with Jira Automatically

Keeping your PractiTest project in sync with Jira doesn’t have to be a manual task.

With Continuous Filter Sync, PractiTest automatically imports any Jira tickets that match a filter you choose — so your team always has a complete, up-to-date picture without the extra effort.

How it helps

Instead of chasing down tickets or relying on teammates to remember to sync, you can set it and forget it. Common use cases include:

  • Automatically pulling in all requirements created for a specific release (e.g., a “Release Q2” filter in Jira)

  • Keeping defects in sync so no bug reported in Jira slips through the cracks in PractiTest

Once set up, PractiTest will scan your selected Jira filters and import matching tickets automatically. You can add as many filters as you need for requirements and issues.

:red_exclamation_mark: A few things to keep in mind

  • Filters must be starred in Jira to be available for syncing

  • Only tickets from Jira projects already integrated with PractiTest will be synced

  • Sync runs every 4 hours by default — Corporate accounts get a faster sync every 30 minutes
