Most teams don’t realize that Personal Email Notifications let every team member customize what matters to them: which issues, tests, mentions, and test execution updates get an email.
What You Can Control
- Issues: Notify me only on defects assigned to me
- Tests: Notify me when tests I created change
- Mentions: Notify me when I’m @mentioned
- Test Execution: Notify me when my test run is ready
- Digest or Individual: Batched emails (last 10 minutes) or immediate
Real Examples
QA Tester: Only notify on defects assigned to me + when it’s my turn to test
Test Author: Alert me if anyone changes tests I created
Automation Engineer: Only notify me when I’m mentioned
QA Lead: Digest emails so I’m batched, not interrupted constantly
