Hello there,
I am fairly new to PractiTest and I am managing multiple projects that have overlapping test cases. I have run into a challenge when trying to optimize our test case management across these projects; and I was hoping to get some insights or advice from more experienced users.
We have several teams working on different projects; but many of the test cases are similar or identical across these projects. I want to avoid duplication; both to streamline our processes and to maintain consistency in our test cases. Although; I am not entirely sure about the best approach to handle this in PractiTest.
Is there an efficient way to reuse test cases across different projects within PractiTest? I have read a little about the hierarchical filter trees; but I am unsure how to fully implement this for multi project management.
How do you organize your test libraries to maintain consistency across teams and projects? We want to ensure that if a test case needs to be updated; it reflects in all relevant projects; without having to manually update each one.
Also; I have gone through this post; https://www.practitest.com/resource-center/article/how-to-manage-testing-in-complex-environments-ccsp/ which definitely helped me out a lot.
For those of you with a similar setup; do you use a central repository of test cases; or do you prefer to keep them separated by project? I am weighing the pros and cons of centralization versus keeping things project specific.
Thanks in advance for your help and assistance.
