How can I change the Author on a test? I have taken over the testing from a person who has left company and I am redoing the test and want to change to my name as author so I can filter correctly.

In this case it will be better to use the ‘Assigned to’ field since the ‘Author’ field can’t be modified.
For example you can create a filter with all the test cases with the relevant author and to batch edit them in order to assign them all to yourself. Then you will be able to create filters correctly.

Is Christine’s 2018 reply still the case on this i.e., can’t change Author)? It would really be nice to be able to change the Author of a test.
A suggestion is to rename this filed to Owner and allow it to be edited.

Christine’s reply is still relevant indeed. Please note that she also suggested to use a field especially for it, basically "Owner’ is the same as “Assigned to”.
The important part is, that when the Test is being created, his author is hard-coded in the database, and this is a data that has to present and cannot be altered.
